Graduation is always a milestone in the life of every child and this year’s took a different turn with the highlight on the Ghanaian culture. The euphoria to the program was great since we had pupils graduating from all the departments of the school.(Infants, Juniors and JHS.
The opening prayer was said in the local dialect. The Chief dressed in colourful regalia welcomed all present and introduced the theme for the graduation; “How far the Lord has brought us.” Two of his subjects gave the seasonal greetings in the Ga language. (Afi ooo afi) to seek blessings from the Almighty God. The Queen gave a speech on the progress of the school. Songs were sung by the school choir. After that, there were traditional dance performance. The Adowa of the Ashantes and Kpanlogo of the Gas.
The graduands were introduced and Reverend Richard Abbey prayed and anointed them for academic success and protection. Certificates and gifts were presented to the graduates of KG2. The Pioneers gave an emotional speech about their experiences during their period of study in the school. The pupils of Basic 4 staged an exhibition; with works of paintings, collage, straw blowing paintings, craft and mosaic work which was highly patronised by all present with admiration.
